The trigger mechanism also features a drop safety and there is an automatic striker block safety. With both the APX Centurion and Compact at the range, I was able to see what I was missing from my full-sized APX and there wasn’t much. A safety lever in the center of the trigger prevents the pistol from firing unless the trigger is intentionally pressed in the center and pulled all the way back. The trigger breaks cleanly, and it has a tactile and audible short reset. The distance from the bore axis to the top of the handgrip has been kept to a minimum to enhance shooting control and speed. The G23 never really felt right, but liked it better converted to a 9mm. the Wilson Combat grip in an FDE, now I love it It feels even better.
